Dental Malpractice Pre-Suit Settlement
William Mills of Glenn, Mills, Fisher & Mahoney recently settled a dental malpractice case for $480,000. The basis of liability was giving the patient Adivan to alleviate anxiety but did not have the patient bring a driver for returning home. While driving home the patient blacked out, and crashed his vehicle into other unoccupied vehicles. The patient received severe lacerations and other traumatic injuries. He was in the hospital for nine days and lost $26,000 in wages. Recoverable medical bills were $54,000.
